I improved my mom's ground beef tacos by using my homemade seasoning instead of the store-bought packets. On hectic days, this is one of my go-to recipes. It takes only a few minutes to prepare and cook this meal.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb ground beef use 80% fat ground beef
- ½ cup diced onions
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- ½ cup water
- homemade taco seasoning See notes for a link to the recipe
- salt for taste optional
- pepper for taste optional
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the oil in a large skillet over a medium-high flame. Add the onions and often toss for 5 to 7 minutes, or until they are transparent. Add the garlic and stir to prevent burning for about 30 seconds, or until the garlic is aromatic.
Brown the ground beef after adding it. Returning the steak to the stove after draining it. Add the taco seasoning and the water. * VIEW NOTES
Cook the sauce while frequently stirring until it thickens. If necessary, season with salt and pepper. The tacos should first be stuffed with ground beef, followed by your choice of toppings.
